To do this experiment I put 20 lbs of body fat back on after losing it and playing with the Ketogenic diet. I am currently taking in too much fat to lose any weight and the creatine supplementation added 5 lbs back on of water weight. This extra 10 lbs I’m carrying around is driving me nuts because I am unable to see any of the muscular definition I appear to be adding. So here’s where I change the plan a little. Over the next two weeks I will be cutting my fat intake down so my body will burn more body fat. I will do this in an attempt to maintain muscle while just dropping the fat. Let’s see if I can get to 202 in the next two weeks!!!
So far I have only had one good night of sleep this month and the cortisol levels I maintain are helping to insure that any weight loss I have is slower than usual. If you want to lose weight and feel better the first thing to do is get plenty of sleep! Cover up the windows and the alarm clock to make it as pitch black in the bedroom as possible. Sleep until you wake up because you have had enough sleep, not because it’s time for work. For most of us to do this we have to go to sleep early. And that is the personal demon I have to conquer. I stay up late reading and studying the things I’m personally interested in.
I started at 222, dropped to 210, started taking creatine and went back up to 215.
Now I’m down to 212 and want to get to 202. I’ll be doing a PSMF (Protein Sparing Modified Fast) and will probably throw in some Crossfit metcons and sprints to increase the fat burning over the next two weeks. I can also expect my strength to suffer due to the lowered caloric intake.
Let’s see if I can put my money where my mouth is!
